Below is the PowerPoint I used when we started to consider why companies are prepared to spend so much money on producing music videos. It also has the Pass/Merit/Distinction criteria on it for your presentations on the topic, which need to be on your blog by Friday.
I'm not in the lesson on Friday, I'm afraid - but I'll be looking at the blogs on Friday night (I'm so rock and roll...) so make sure everything on there is up-to-date. You're welcome to use the Media Studies room to work in on Friday, but you are welcome to work either at home or elsewhere.

Work, Deadlines, and Stuff
Aloha!
Just a quick update for you all. THe deadline for your research to be complete - and to be written up on your blogs, in an analytical way - is FRIDAY 30th NOVEMBER. You need to:
- Carry out variety of primary research;
- Carry out some secondary research;
- Summarise your findings of both primary and secondary research, as you did in last term's assignment;
- Ensure you explain how your findings might affect the kind of music video you will make.
Remember - your blogs are marked individually, so it's your responsibility to ensure that your write-up is of a good standard.
You alsoi need to include your presentation on the reasons for producing music videos: upload this to scribd, then embed it on your blog. This also needs to be on there by Friday 30th.
Oh, some advanced warning: the deadline for filming your music video is WEDNESDAY 19th DECEMBER. No filming will be allowed after this date.
